Rudy sentenced for life
Shaun Rudy was given the maximum sentencing today for all charges brought against him, as recommended by Clark County District Attorney Darwin Zwieg.
At 1:40 p.m., Rudy was given one life sentence for the intentional homicide of his wife Christine Rudy, one life sentence for the intentional homicide of the unborn child and 18 years and six months of imprisonment for the mutilation of a corpse.
He was also sentenced 14 years for charges of possession of a firearm by a felon.
His sentences are to be served consecutively.
Shaun Rudy's mother, Margie Nelson, of Jim Falls, said Rudy would not appeal and that justice was done.
