Blaisdell, Ada (8 NOV 1904)
The home of W. Blaisdell and wife was the scene of a pretty wedding last Tuesday
morning, when their daughter Ada became the wife of Frank Merton Graves of Long
Beach, California. Rev. Conklin performed the ceremony in the presence of a few
relatives.
The bride was tastefully attired in white organdy and carried white roses. Just
before 9 o’clock Mrs. W. B. Parks began the wedding march and the bridal couple
appeared and were soon made one.
After congratulations the wedding breakfast was sever and then it was time for
the bride and groom to start for the depot. They left on the eleven o’clock
train expecting to reach Long Beach Sunday, where a neat little bungalow awaits
them. A large number of friends with a bountiful supply of rice gathered at the
depot to bid them farewell.
The young people have lived here since early childhood, and they count their
friends by scores.
The groom was employed here in this father’s store for several years, and only
went to California, his parent’s home, a year ago. The bride was also a clerk in
Graves & Sons Store for several years, and by her bright, cheery ways and
lovable disposition she has endeared herself to all who know her. While the good
wishes of all their friends follow them to their western home, we all regret
that they could nnot have made their home in Spencer.
