Tuesday evening at the home of Dr. and Mrs. H. R. Schofield, the Junior Class of the Greenwood High School gave their reception to the Senior Class, and was a most painstaking and elaborate affair. The decorations were immense and showed the loved and esteem in which the Seniors were held by their successors.

The porch was decorated with the high school colors, black and gold tissue paper with a large pennant over the door. The reception hall was also decorated in black and gold, the punch bowl reposing in a pretty alcove by the stairway.

The parlor was trimmed with the Senior colors, purple and gold, with a magnificent bouquet of yellow roses ornamenting the mantle, while the sitting room was rich in an abundance f snowballs and ferns, the ornamentation being green and white.

Last of all was the dining room, which was superior in decorative art to all others, the artist’s work being well displayed in purple and gold, while upon six tables reposed bouquet of roses, in the center of which was a single table, from the four corners of which purple and gold ribbons made graceful curves to the chandelier above as a center, and a beautiful tall vase of roses ornamented the center of the table.

At each plate was a pretty little hand-painted card with a name, each one searching out their respective place by finding of their name car. Sandwiches tied with purple and gold ribbon, fruit salad, ice cream, wafers and angel food was served.

Marion Hunt favored the guests with a tenor solo, and Elda Recheleu an alto solo, which, with games, etc., furnished splendid entertainment which was greatly enjoyed by all until 12:30 a.m. The Seniors extend a hearty vote of thanks to the Junior for a most enjoyable evening.
