Last week a deal was completed in which the entire plant of the Greenwood
Heading and Lumber Company was transferred to one of the former stockholders, W.
H. Palms.
The Greenwood Heading and Lumber Company was organized in 1906 and in 1908 was
incorporated with the same stockholders, W. H. Palms, E. Bowen, John Shanks and
Tom Fahey. For nearly four years this concern operated the Heading Mill, Saw
Mill, and did a general retail lumber business and custom millwork.
Through the able supervision of its manager, W. H. Palms, it has built up a
large and fast growing business, which is increasing every year.
Mr. Palms now states that the business will be conducted along the same lines
and under the same name as here-to-fore. At present his intentions are to buy
bolts and continue the custom sawing, planing and retail business.
