Cronin, Jheremy Adam (3 December 1980 – 16 November 2023)

Jeremy Adam Cronin tragically passed from this life on November 16, 2023.

He was born to Jody and Sharon Cronin 12/3/1980 in Eau Claire.

Jeremy’s life after being hit by a car when he was only two was challenged but he never complained. Instead, he jumped in determined not to let his physical issues stop him. He’d always say he could do just about anything, it only takes him a little longer. Jeremy was so proud of his little house and especially to be a Special Olympic Athlete where he not only gathered medals in competition but also gained a whole new family of friends.

Travel was another of his passions. Having seen a majority of our US states, Mexico, Holland and Germany where many of our family still live. Most of the time when he was near, you’d hear his laugh, see that sheepish smile or feel his concern and caring if you were in pain. Jeremy was a deep thinker; he was my rock. As his mom I couldn’t be prouder. As his mom I couldn’t be more lost.

He’ll be so missed by all of us; his kitties: Rudy, Dash and BJ; Mom, Sharon Fralick; his Nana Chris Patton; stepsister, Carrie (Todd) McFarlane; stepbrothers, Clayton (Nicole) Fralick and Craig (Beth) Fralick; auntie, Simone (Jay) Lieffring; step-grandpa, John Kemsley; all of his wonderful Aunts and Uncles on his dad’s side, plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. And of course, friends, lots of friends!

Jeremy was preceded in death by his dad, Jody Cronin; stepdad, Clay Fralick; grandparents, Bill Patton, and Merlin and Betty Cronin; and step-grandma, Diane Kemsley.

To say a proper ‘Jeremy’ goodbye, we plan to have a celebration of his life in May by enjoying his favorite foods, playing his favorite games and lighting the huge stack of brush he’s gathered for a fabulous bon fire. Please watch for a future announcement.

A Celebration of Jeremy's Life will be held in May of 2024. Date and time to follow.

Foemmel, Lillian Laverne (22 March 1921 – 19 November 2023)

Lillian Laverne Foemmel returned to her heavenly home on November 19, 2023.

She was born to August and Albertena (Schendel) Kindt in Wilton, on March 22, 1921. When she was young the family moved to the Globe area as her father decided that Wilton had too many hills to farm easily. She attended grade school in Globe and then lived with various families in Greenwood doing housework and childcare during the school years so that she could graduate from Greenwood High School.

She met the love of her life Ervin at a dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom, their marriage making the Milwaukee Journal as the minister's buggy got stuck in the mud and he had to walk through the mud to perform the ceremony.

They lived in Milwaukee until she returned to Neillsville while Ervin served in the navy during the war. They then returned to Milwaukee where after various jobs they owned a grocery store. A few years later they again returned to Neillsville to farm. While raising 4 children they purchased the A&W Root Beer Stand, the liquor store, built the trailer court, along with building 3 new homes. She always worked alongside Ervin in every new venture.

Lillian and Ervin together really enjoyed their time on the lake fishing and playing cards with so many of their friends. People always knew that when they stopped by their house they were always welcomed. In the later years Lillian was so thankful for the friends she had, especially the Monday afternoon card playing girls.

She leaves behind her children Sandra (Dennis) Larsen of Neillsville, Bonnie (Wayne) Short of Granton, Cheryl Ray of Marshfield, and Douglas (Carol) Foemmel of Stevens Point, along with 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Foemmel, her son-in-law Jefferson Ray III, her grandson Ryan Foemmel, her parents and parents-in-law, and sisters Wanda, Melta, Hulda, Olga, Hertha, and brothers Albert, Allen, Walter, and Edwin.

Visitation will be at St Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 with the funeral to follow at 11, with internment at the Neillsville Cemetery.

Susan found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. As Helen Keller once stated, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." This quote shows Susan's love for her family, which was indeed the most beautiful thing about her.

Susan was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and she loved music, dancing with friends, and bird watching with her kitty, Zeba. She was known for her thoughtful gestures, always putting others before herself. Special thanks are extended to the caregivers at Aspirus Cancer Center and Hospice as well as Our House Assisted Living.
