In response to the general invitations sent out to the public, there gathered at
the Methodist Parsonage on the evening of Friday, June 17h, 1910, a goodly
number. Many of the town people were present to see the new parsonage, of which
many favorable remarks were passed on the commodious rooms and conveniences. The
entertainment consisted of a musical program, ice cream (contributed by the Eau
Claire Creamery Co), and cake, also a large supply of sociability. Presiding
Elder Straw, together with the officers of the church, held a business meeting
in the church parlor prior to the social event.
