Glowacki, Jerome J. “Jerry” (10 Sep 1940 – 6 Dec 2020)
Jerome J. "Jerry" Glowacki, age 80, of Sauk Centre, formerly of Blue Mounds,
Wisconsin, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 6, 2020,
at the Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December
10, 2020, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel
officiating. A private inurnment will be St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Thorp,
Wisconsin at a later date. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
There will be no visitation prior to the Mass.
Jerome John Glowacki was born September 10, 1940, in Thorp, Wisconsin to
Thaddeus and Helen (Twarowski) Glowacki. Jerry earned an associate degree in
electronics from DeVry Technical College in Chicago, Illinois. He married Joan
Clark on May 8, 1965, at St. Florian Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jerry was employed at University of Wisconsin Madison for 30 years. They resided
in the Madison, Wisconsin area and in 1980 they bought a farm in Blue Mounds,
Wisconsin where Jerry and Joan raised sheep. Since 2011 they had resided in Sauk
Centre.
He was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Westport,
Wisconsin, St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomanie, Wisconsin, St. Paul's
Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry was very
sociable and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his three children, Michael (Gulnara) Glowacki of Madison,
Wisconsin, Elizabeth "Lisa" (Chris) Lawinger of Sauk Centre, and Nicole (Mark
Daniels) Glowacki of Lino Lakes; three grandchildren, Chase Lawinger, Natalie
and Emmett Daniels; and many loving relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Glowacki on April 2, 2014;
parents; and brothers, Thomas Glowacki in 1950 and Theodore Glowacki in 2002.
Urn bearer will be Michael Glowacki, cross bearer will be Natalie Daniels and
scripture bearer will be Emmett Daniels.
Memorials are preferred to Holy Family School in Sauk Centre.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk
Centre.
