Vrana, Wynola “Nola” R. (8 February 1935 – 9 December 2020)

Wynola “Nola” R. Vrana, age 85, of Marshfield, formerly of Colby, passed away December 9, 2020 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield with her family by her side.

Nola was born February 8, 1935 to Otto and Frieda (Werner) Koeppen in Colby. Nola was a graduate of Colby High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry Vrana on April 14, 1962 at Christ Lutheran Church Parsonage in Dorchester, and they were married 51 years. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2013.

Nola was a bank teller at Colby State Bank for 10 years, and then worked side by side with Jerry, at their business, Jerry’s TV, for 30 years. She loved to garden, read and her cocker spaniels.

Nola is survived by her children: Kim (Susan) Vrana of Marshfield, and Julie (Chuck Padrnos) Vrana of Rochester, MN; five grandchildren: Kelsey, Cameron, and McKinsey; Jasper and Samantha; and other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry; and five siblings: Leona Zassenhaus, Violet Frome, LaVern “Sonny” Koeppen, June Neuhaus and Kenneth Koeppen.

A celebration of life will be held next spring.

Family would like to thank the House of the Dove for their excellent care and compassion and Dr. Mohamed Hashem at the Marshfield Medical Center.
