Tuesday evening, January 18, 1910 the Beaver and Queens held open installation
at the M.W.A. Hall. H. H. Hartson, in an impressive manner, duly installed the
following officers: M.W.B., Harry E. Hartson; M.W.Q., Rose Van Voorhis; W.C.
George Van Voorhis; W.S, Nellie Palms; W.T. Jacob Volk; W.P., Alta Hartson; W.G.,
L. A. Thrapp; Queen of Love, Mary Dingley; Queen of Faith, Mary Warner, Queen of
Charity, Belle Varney; W. Organist, Ida Thrapp; W. Trapper, Glen Armstrong;
Trustee, Belle Varney; Physicians, Drs. Schofield and Baker.
After installation ceremonies a most pleasing program was rendered, consisting
of cornet solo, piano duets, vocal solos and recitations, which, judging from
the applause, was highly appreciated by all, especially the solos sung by Hildur
Haglund and little Marguerite Thrapp, who were repeatedly called back. The
substantial part of the program was a delicious oyster stew presided over by
Charles Varney, and served to about one hundred members and invited guests.
