A surprise pasty was given at the home of Rev. S.E. Sweet Tuesday evening of
last week, it being his 70th birthday. Mr. Sweet was tried in a mock court by
Rev. Norton as Judge, for “Stealing the good will of the people,” and was
sentenced for ten years. But on account of his old age, the sentence was
withdrawn and he was presented with a fountain pen in order to make it right.
