ANNA KOEHLER/ADOLPH SCHWARZE MARRIAGE
Adolph Schwarze and Anna Koehler were married at half past seven
Wednesday evening, Oct. 23, 1907, at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Schwarze on the West Side in the presence of about thirty
friends and relatives. Rev. J. Schmalz of the German Reformed
Church officiated.
The house was decorated for the occasion with evergreen boughs and
carnations. The bride was attired in white silk and was attended by
Miss Augusta Schwarze, sister of the groom. The groom was attended
by Adolph Geisler.
After the ceremony the guests partook of a bounteous wedding
supper. An informal good time was enjoyed till midnight, when
another supper was served.
Both young people are well known and like by Greenwood people,
having lived here for a number of years, the bride coming from her
home in Green Grove about five years ago, the groom having lived
most of his life on his father's farm on the West Side.
The young couple will make their home in Greenwood, Clark County,
Adolph having a position in E. T. Burch's store, which he has held
for nearly four years. They will go to housekeeping in the upper
part of the Elias Peterson building soon.
