CATHERINE NEIS/ALBERT HUBER MARRIAGE
Albert Huber and Miss Catherine Neis were united in marriage
Wednesday morning, Oct. 28, 1908, at 9:30 at St. Mary's Catholic
Church in Neillsville, Clark County. Rev. Albert Dorrenback
officiated.
The groom was attended by his brother, John Huber of Baraboo. The
bride was attended by her sister, Miss Melanie Neis.
After the ceremony the wedding party drove to the home of the
bride's parents in Weston, where with a number of friends and
relatives, they enjoyed a bounteous wedding feast.
In the evening Mr. Huber gave a dance in the Wheeler hall at
Christie. The Greenwood Orchestra furnished the music.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Neis of Weston. She came
to Clark County with her parents five years ago from Jefferson,
Wis. While not known in this community, she is reported to be a
young lady of excellent character.
The groom is a hardworking industrious young man, who has built up
a good business and has a fine modern blacksmith and wagon shop. He
came here in the spring of 1904, buying out Fred Woodkey at that
time.
Mr. and Mrs. Huber have started housekeeping in the rooms over the
shop.
The Gleaner joins with their friends in offering
congratulations.
