Stepping into the Bailey Furniture Store one day last wee we were shown an old
heirloom in the shape of a chest. It was made by Nathaniel Woodman, then living
in New Hampshire in 1743, who was great-grandfather to A. W. Bailey of this
place (Greenwood). After his death it was given to Judge L. D. Bailey of
Lawrence, Kansas, which was some their years ago, and after his death was sent
here to A. W. Bailey last week. The chest is in fine preservation and is very
highly prized.
