Rollins, Duane E. (17 October 1933 – 29 December 2020)

Duane E. Rollins, 87, Chili, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center.

Duane was born on October 17, 1933 in Marshfield, to Robert and Ann (Matonich) Rollins. He was united in marriage to Rita D. Ure on May 12, 1956 in Chili, Wisconsin.

Duane had farmed in the Town of Fremont, Clark County for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years, watching softball, card playing, making maple syrup, logging with his family and was a Packers and Brewers fan. He had served with the Chili Fire Department for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Rita, and their children, Dale (Cathy) Rollins of Chili, Mike Rollins of Granton, Ricky (Pam) Rollins of Chili and Bob (Julie) Rollins of Marshfield. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers and sisters, Beverly Lavey of Granton, Shirley Ann (Charles) Ress of Marshfield, Verlyn (Frieda) Rollins of Granton, Betty Lou (Donald) Mahoney of Marshfield, Bonnie (Dale) Weber of Onalaska, Karen Pernsteiner of Marshfield, Jerry (Carol) Rollins of Osseo, and Dennis (Sharon) Rollins of Spencer and a sister-in-law, Beverly Ure.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marlene Wesenberg, brothers-in-law, Tom Pernsteiner, Arnold Wesenberg and David Lavey and brothers and sisters-in-law from Rita’s family, Lloyd Ure, Ronald and Vickie Ure, Lila and Erbin Schmidt and Muriel Ure.

Private family services will be held at Rembs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lynn Cemetery, Town of Lynn, Clark County, at a later date.
