Siems, Floyd E. Sr. (24 August 1931 – 18 March 2013) With Flag

Floyd E. Siems Sr., age 81, formerly of 2341 6th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at Harmony House Assisted Living.

Floyd was born August 24, 1931 in Pine Valley, Clark Co. to the late Helmuth and Mina (Westphal) Siems. He married Lila Winegarden on March 26, 1955 in California. Floyd served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from September 1951 to September 1955. He was employed as a Supervisor in the finishing room at Georgia Pacific (Domtar) in Port Edwards, WI for 40 years, retiring in 1991. Floyd enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Lila of Wis. Rapids, children - Terry (Marci) Siems of Winneconne, Floyd (Debra) Siems Jr. of Marshfield, Robin (John) Jay of Wis. Rapids, Rick (Sally) Siems of Wis. Rapids, Steve Siems of Wis. Rapids, 5 grandchildren - Mike, Stacy, Lisa, Jana, Kevin, 1 great-granddaughter, Averna and brother Henry (Barb) Siems of Wis. Rapids.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, brother James and sister Helen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at First Baptist Church (910 McKinley Street) in Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. Charles Bradbury will officiate, burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post #2534 of Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, and again at the Church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
