Blazel, Alvin D. (28 JUL 1940 – 21 DEC 2020)

Alvin D. Blazel, Jr., 80, of the Township of Holton, passed away on Dec. 21, 2020, at his residence.

A funeral service for Alvin took place on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby at 11 a.m., with Father Joseph Redfern presiding. Burial followed at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Visitation took place on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

Alvin was born on July 28, 1940, to Alvin, Sr. and Elizabeth (Koenigs) Blazel in Dorchester. He graduated from Dorchester High School. After schooling, he held various jobs such as mechanical repair, road construction, working for International Harvester, Michael’s Pipeline and Gabe’s Construction. He was drafted in the Army and served in the 60’s. Alvin is survived by his son, Eric Blazel of Dorchester; brothers: James Blazel of Medford and Dennis Blazel of Madison; sisters, Louise Brill of Abbotsford and Hellen Bussee of Dorchester; nieces: Heather, Amanda and April; nephew, Henry. Alvin is further survived by other family and friends. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Donna Brunner; and son, Bruce Blazel.
