Mr. J. Whitmore is probably the happiest man in Spencer at present, because his wife, on Monday morning last, presented him with a bouncing 14 pound boy. Mr. Whitmore, at about the same time, purchased a new milk cow, so that we judge he intends to have the young gentleman stay with him right along. But maybe that isn’t the way they feed these little fellows. The editor is gone though, and we don’t know how we are going to find out, so we will have to leave this article just as it is.
