The schoolhouse is rapidly nearing completion, and will be in readiness for the
next term. We are proud of the schoolhouse, and think that if it is possible to
retain the same teachers that have had charge of the schools for the past term,
there will be no reason why Spencer cannot have as good a school as there is in
northern Wisconsin. Nothing succeeds like success, and as Miss Lindsay and Mr.
Van Hecke have thus far given the best satisfaction, they should be retained,
even if they insist on an increase of salary.
