Dalson, Roy E. (12 March 1918 - 28 December 1983)
DORCHESTER -- Roy E. Dalson, 64, of 101 Front St., Dorchester, died Wednesday at
St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The body was cremated and Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield handled
arrangements.
He was born March 12, 1918 in Rhinelander, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Helke (Anna
Richardson) Dalson and received his education there. As a young man he moved to
Milwaukee with his parents, where he was manager of the Gimbel's Store Shoe
Repair Shop from 1941 to 1946. He then opened the D&D Shoe Repair Shop in
Waukesha and in 1952 opened a pet shop there. From 1958 until his death he owned
and operated several bars. He was the owner and operator of the "New Generation"
Hotel and Bar in Dorchester from 1980 until his death.
He and the former Ann Petrovich were married in Rhinelander; she survives. Also
surviving are a son Dale of Dorchester; a stepson, James Weigan of Waukesha; two
stepsisters, Ruth Hansen and Beatrice Barnes, both of Milwaukee; and three
stepbrothers, Dick and Glen Clark, both of California, and Charles Clark of
Michigan.
