Laakso, Einar W. (4 June 1906 - 10 January 1983

OWEN - Services for Einar W. Laakso, 76, of Owen, who died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, will be Thursday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

The Rev. Peter Thosen will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

He was born June 4, 1906 at Marquette, Michigan. In 1912, he moved to the Town of Hoard with his parents. He and Ina Rauha were married September 7, 1935. He was engaged in farming until 1949 when they moved to Owen.

He was the custodian for Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of its Board.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Dallas (Audrey) Granquist of Owen; one son, Oscar of Marshfield; one brother, Arne of Owen; three sisters, Mrs. Emil (Elsie) Potocnik of Owen, Mrs. William (Martha) Machek of Los Angeles and Mrs. Emil (Turney) Makinen of Prescott, Arizona; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by a son, Arthur in 1960.
