SOPHIE M. DUTCHER/FREDERICK F. GROSS MARRIAGE
At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dutcher on Tuesday afternoon at 5
o'clock occurred the marriage of Mr. Frederick F. Gross of the Town
of Loyal, Clark County, to Miss Sophie M. Dutcher.
As the wedding march was played by the sister, Miss Viola, the two
bridesmaids, Vera and Ocie Randles appeared, on scattering flowers,
and the other carrying the wedding ring on a silver tray, followed
by the bride and groom, who took their place under the folds of Old
Glory and overhanging apple blossoms. The ceremony was performed by
Rev. W. E. Kloster of the M.E. Church.
After congratulations and well wishes, a bounteous supper was
served.
The groom has recently purchased a well equipped farm near
Spokeville, where the happy couple will reside. The bride is well
known here and at Loyal, near where she used to live with her
parents when on their farm. For the past few terms she has been
teaching school. Many beautiful gifts were presented.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Dutcher, Viola Dutcher, Mrs. Louis
Gross, mother of the groom, Miss Gross, Mr. and Mrs. John Gross,
Mr. and Mrs. Will Thayer, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Simmons, Mr. and Mrs.
W. E. Kloster and Ocie and Vera Randles.
The Gleaner joins in best wishes for Mr. and Mrs. Gross.
