Huth, Arnold E., Sr. (1915 - 1982)


Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 13, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Sherwood, for Arnold E. Huth, Sr., 67, Route 2, Granton, Clark County, who died at his home at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1982. The Rev. E.T. Keller, pastor, officiated, and burial was in the Town of Sherwood Cemetery.

Mr. Huth was born Jan. 13, 1915 in Milwaukee to Edward and Selma (nee Wilde) Huth, Sr., and was educated in Milwaukee. He worked there until 1946, when they moved to the Town of Washburn in Clark County, where he farmed for many years. He was also employed by the Neillsville Milk Products until 1961, when ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Sherwood.

He and Francis St. John were married on Feb. 23, 1935, at Milwaukee.

Surviving are his wife two daughters, Mrs. George (Nela) Swamp of Madison and Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Wolk of Loyal four sons, Arnold, Jr. and Gene, both of Granton, John of San Diego, Cal. And Bernard of Nekoosa his mother, Mrs. Selma Huth of Milwaukee two sisters, Mrs. Archie (Myrtle) Stach of Milwaukee and Mrs. Lenore Koeppl, Milwaukee two brothers, Milbert and Edward, Jr., both of Milwaukee 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His father and one granddaughter were deceased. Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled arrangements.
