VERNON DERGANCE


Vernon Barney B. Dergance, 78, Willard, Clark County, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Rev. Larry Olson officiated. Burial was in the Willard National Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Juul, Thomas Migon, Eugene Panyon, Dale Shelesta, James Dergance and William Pauley.


Vernon B. Dergance was born on Jan. 19, 1917, in Willard, to Matthew and Mary (nee Voldash) Dergance. He received his education in Willard area schoold. He worked on the family farm until moving to Chicago to work. He married Mary Auman on Sept. 21, 1945, in Chicago. She survives. He worked at several Chicago businesses until retiring from A.B. Dick Manufacturing in 1975, after 11 years of employment. He and his wife then moved back to Willard and lived there until the time of his death.


Survivors include his wife and one brother, Edwin Dergance, Christie.


Hew was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
