Collinson, Lois E. (1922 - 1982)
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the United
Methodist Church, Loyal, for Lois E. Collinson, 60, of Route 1,
Loyal, Clark County, who died at 3:15 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18.
Officiating at the service was Rev. Charles Sanford. Interment was
in the Loyal Cemetery.
Lois Stage was born in Thomsen, Ill., on Jan. 4, 1922. She attended
Thomsen High School and graduated from Jane Lamb Memorial Hospital
School of Nursing. After graduation she worked in Clinton, Iowa as
a registered Nurse.
On Nov. 30, 1947, she and Lloyd Collinson were married at Thomsen,
Ill. After their marriage, they lived in Belvidere, Ill., until
moving to Loyal in 1951. She was employed at Memorial Hospital,
Neillsville, and also the Continental Manor Nursing Home in
Abbotsford. For the past eight years she worked at the Clark County
Health Care Center in Owen.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Red Cross and
was a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile.
Surviving her are one daughter, Julie Collinson of Marshfield four
sons, Robert and Dean of Eau Claire, David and Roger, both at home
one sister, Elva Strom of Mr. Carroll, Ill two brothers, Leonard of
Thomsen, Ill. and Merle of Woodstock, Ill. and a grandchild.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Lloyd, on Feb. 24, 1981 her
parents and one brother.
Serving as pallbearers were Michael, Steven, Mark and Keith
Collinson, Larry Falconer and David stage, all nephews. Rinka
Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.
