EDNA PERRINE


Edna Perrine, 82, Neillsville, Clark County, died Friday, Sept. 8, 1995, at her home in Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, at the Neillsville Assembly of God Church. Rev. Douglas Bjerke officiated. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.


Edna Korntved was born on Aug. 27, 1913, in Colby, to Soren and Anna (nee Jeppeson) Korntved. As a small child, she moved to the Greenwood area, where she received her education. She then worked for different families in Clark County. She then moved to Chicago, where she worked for a family and later as a waitress. She married William Perrine on Nov. 5, 1941, in Chicago. They lived in Chicago until 1947, when they moved to a home south of Neillsville. They moved into Neillsville in 1951. While living in the Neillsville area, she had various occupations along with being a homemaker. They also owned the Neillsville Egg company from 1958-1972. For 28 years she worked for the Gedney Pickle Company of Minnesota in Neillsville until retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Neillsville Assembly of God Church enjoyed traveling with the children and being with people.


Survivors include one son, John (Jayne) Perrine, Neillsville one daughter, Patricia (Marvin) Mohr, Neillsville eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, William, who died on Sept. 10 , 1978 one son, William Andrew two sisters and five brothers.


Gesche Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
