VELMA MECH
Velma A. Mech, Neillsville, Clark County,
currently residing in Tucson, Ariz., died in Tucson at her
daughter's home on Thursday, Sept. 7, 1995. Funeral services were
held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, on
Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1995, at 1 p.m. Rev. Timothy Biebert officiated.
Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Velma A. Kalsow was born on May 23, 1912, in the Town of Weston, to
Theodore and Ida (nee Scheel) Kalsow. She received her education in
Globe. After her education in Globe. After her education, she
married Theodore Mech in 1944. After their marriage, she raised her
family and lived in Neillsville. He died in 1981. She was a member
of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Welsch, Tucson, Ariz. three
step-sons, Vernon (Elaine) Mech, Greenwood Melvin (Alma) Mech,
Spencer and Robert (Ethel) Mech, Kenosha one brother, Hans (Renata)
Kalsow, Neillsville two sisters, Esther Sternitzky, Granton and
Clara (John) Haag, La Crosse two grandchildren nine
step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren.
Gesche Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
