Denk, Kenneth S. (1951 - 1983)


Kenneth S. Denk, 31, of Stoughton, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, died at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 16, 1983, at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. James Logan officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Terry, Jef and Gordon Denk and Ronald, Robert and Bert Hansen. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.

Kenneth Denk was born to Leonard and Mary (nee Scherer) Denk at Marshfield on May 11, 1951. He graduated from Loyal High school in 1969.

On Dec. 21, 1980, he and Lynelle Hansen were married at Neeley, Neb. For the past year, he had been living in Stoughton, working for Stoughton Trailer, Inc.

He was a member of st. Ann's Catholic Church, Stoughton.

Surviving him are his wife, Lynelle one daughter, Nicole one son, Joshua his parents, Leonard and Mary Denk of Loyal six sisters, Mrs. Allen (Sharon) Schoonover of Loyal, Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Anderegg of Greenwood, Mrs. Charles (LaVonne) Dragon of Fairfield, Ohio, Miss Patricia Denk of Alexandria, Va., Mrs. Lawrence (Kathy) Hutchinson of Stratford and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Newcomer of Woodbridge, Va. and three brothers, Terry of Stoughton, Jeffrey of Long Beach, Cal. And Gordon of Madison.

Preceding him in death was one sister, Kristin.

A Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary was said at 3:15 p.m. and a Prayer Service was conducted at 8:30 p.m., Jan. 18.
