Boettcher, Max H. (1888 - 1983)
Funeral services for Max H. Boettcher, 94, of the Marshfield
Convalescent Center, formerly of 305 S. Cedar Ave., Marshfield,
were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Hansen Funeral Home,
Marshfield.
Mr. Boettcher died at 7:10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22, 1983, at the
center.
Officiating at the service was Rev. T. P. Bradtke of Christ
Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Interment was in the West Spencer
Cemetery. Military rites were conducted at graveside. Family
members served as pallbearers.
Max Boettcher was born in the Town of Beaver, Clark County, on June
9, 1888, to Herman and Henrietta (nee Straut) Boettcher. He
received his education in Clark County.
He was married on Jan. 20, 1920, to Anna Winters, in Decatur, Ill.
He farmed in the Town of Beaver and the Dorchester area. He then
moved to Illinois, where he lived until moving to Marshfield in
1968.
He was a member of the Marshfield Senior Citizens Club. He was a
veteran of World War I.
Survivors include one son, Walter of Athens three grandchildren and
one sister, Mrs. John (Martha) Luther of Wausau.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna, in 1936 one daughter two
brothers and four sisters.
Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, handled arrangements.
