Lindner, Casper (1899 - 1983)
Casper Lindner, 83, of 110 N. Andrews,
Greenwood, Clark County, died at 3 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 1983,
at his home.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 1983, at St.
Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens officiated
and interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Casper Lindner was born on July 23, 1899, at Millston, Wis.,
Jackson County. He received his education at St. Mary's school.
On June 22, 1927, he and Marie Keller were married at Greenwood.
After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Loyal until 1963,
when they moved to the City of Greenwood. He then did carpentry
work.
He was a member of st. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of
Columbus and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Marie five sons, Carl and Donald, both
of Greenwood and LaVerne, Arthur and Richard, all of Loyal six
daughters, Mrs. Elaine Herdrich of Greenwood, Miss Jacqueline
Lindner of Greenwood, Mrs. Frank (Irene) Wilke of Loyal, Mrs. Joe
(Jeanette) Sullivan of McLean, Va., Mrs. Henry (Shirley) Janezich
of Willard and Mrs. Emmett (Dorothy) Wessel of Sheboygan one
sister, Mrs. Anna Denk of Greenwood one brother, Erhard Lindner of
Greenwood 48 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Anna (nee
Schober) Lindner one grandchild one great-grandchild four brothers
and three sisters.
An 8 p.m. Prayer Service and an 8:30 p.m. KC Rosary were conducted
on Friday evening, Grandsons, Chuck Lindner, Kenny Herdrich, Steve
Wilke, Terry Lindner, Joe Sullivan and Bruce Janezich, served as
pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of
arrangements.
