Voie, Glenora (1895 - 1983)
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, may 1, at Our
Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood, for Glenora Voie, 86, of
Greenwood, Clark County.
Mr. Voie died Thursday morning, April 28, 1983, at Memorial
Hospital, Neillsville.
Rev. Samuel Kochel officiated at the service and burial was in the
Greenwood Cemetery. Carliss Stuber, Stephen Peterson, Richard
Olson, Duane Walker, Arlen Stuber and Wayne Stuber served as
pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of
arrangements.
Glenora Syvertson was born in Scandinavia, Wis., on Oct. 17, 1895.
She received her education at Scandinavia.
On Oct. 22, 1914, she and Otto Voie were married at Iola. The first
two years were spent at Barron. They farmed in Greenwood from 1930
to 1940, when they moved to the City of Greenwood. They celebrated
their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1964 and their 60th in
1974.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Godfrey (Olive) Dyer of
Greenwood, Mrs. Charles (Vivian) Stuber of Mondovi and Mrs. Harold
(June) Dunn of Eau Claire 19 grandchildren 41 great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976 her parents,
Gunder and Karen (nee Thorson) Syvertson three brothers and three
sisters.
