Reese, David (1894 - 1983)
David Reese, 88, of 111 N. Stafford, Greenwood, Clark County, died
at 6:15 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, 1983, at Memorial Home,
Neillsville.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The body was
cremated.
David Reese was born on July 13, 1894, at Ridgeway, Wis. to Thomas
and Maryann (nee Williams) Reese. He received his education at
Dodgeville and Greenwood Schools.
He and Marie C. Lee were married on Dec. 17, 1923, at Hibbing,
Minn. He was a carpenter and also farmed in the Greenwood area. He
served on the City Council and also was water superintendent. He
was a charter member of the Greenwood American Legion, serving in
the Marines during World War I.
Surviving him are two sons, Robert of Madison and John W. of
Sundburg, Ohio one daughter, Mrs. Claude (Jean) Marsden of Kenosha
one sister, Miss Lulu Reese of Greenwood and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Marie, on March 24, 1972 his
parents five sisters one brother one son, David and one daughter,
Marian.
Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
