Rust, Herman W., Sr. (1902 - 1983)
Herman W. Rust,
Sr., 81, of Greenwood, Clark County, died at 6 p.m., Friday,
Aug. 19, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Funeral services for Mr. Rust were at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22,
1983, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev. Daniel
Ahrens. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Herman Rust was born on July 19, 1902, at Hauntown, Iowa, to Ernest
and Anna rust.
On Nov. 24, 1926, he and Florence Faye Collins were married at
Alcester, S.D. They moved to Wisconsin in 1927, and he worked for
the Soo Line before moving to the Town of Sherman, where he farmed.
In 1942, they moved to the Town of Eaton and farmed until his
retirement in 1978. For the last two years he was a resident of
Memorial Home, Neillsville.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood.
Survivors include three sons, Dick of Marshfield, Jim of Greenwood
and Herman, Jr. of Chippewa falls four daughters, Mrs. Robert
(Betty) Bogdonovich of Willard, Mrs. Herb (Darlene) Dodge of
Shreveport, La., Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Faber of Greenwood and Mrs.
Dale (Elaine) Rizzolo of St. Charles, Mo. one brother, Henry of
LaCrosse 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Faye, in 1980 his parents one
sister and two brothers.
Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Adler, Jim Aumann, Pat Sedlacek,
Rodney Bogdonovich, Randy Bogdonovich and James Bogdonovich.
Honorary pallbearers were Gary Rizzolo, Kurt Rust, Scot Rust,
Richard Rust Jr., Dale Rizzolo, David Rizzolo and Brad Dodge. Rinka
Funeral Home handled arrangements.
