Dobbe, Edd (1894 - 1983)
Edd Dobbe, 89, formerly of Loyal, Clark County, who had been
residing at the Veterans Home in King, Wis. since 1977, died at the
home on Monday evening, Oct. 17, 1983.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, 1983, at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph
Kraly.
Interment will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Full military
rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion. Legion
Members will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, after 4 p.m.,
Wednesday and at the church after 9:30 a.m., Thursday, until the
time of the service. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is in charge of
arrangements.
Edd Dobbe was born on March 5, 1894, at Esterville, Iowa. He
received his education at Iowa Schools. He came to Clark County as
a young man.
On June 24, 1920, he and Agnes Schmidt were married in Clark
County. They farmed in the Town of Beaver, moving to the City of
Loyal in 1972. In 1977 he moved to the Veterans Home at King.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Loyal American
Legion. He had served as treasurer for the Town of Beaver for many
years.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Victor (Virginia) Neubauer
of Watertown, Mrs. Shirley Coulthurst of Gainesville, Fla., and
Mrs. Walter (Marlene) Mews of Marshfield six grandchildren several
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were his wife, in 1972, and three brothers.
