Schrimper, Dorothy Bessie (1921 - 1983)


Dorothy Bessie Schrimper, 62, of Route 2, Greenwood, Clark County, died on Friday, Oct. 21, 1983, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24, 1983, at Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev. Charles Saletri. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Dorothy Potter was born to Lester and Bessie (nee Martin) Potter, on May 8, 1921, at Robins, Iowa. She received her education at Marion, Iowa.

On Oct. 17, 1942, she was married to Garwin Schrimper at Missouri. They came to the Greenwood-Loyal area in 1961.

She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church of Greenwood.

Surviving her are her husband two children, Ann and Beth three grandchildren three sisters, Louise, Maxine and Arlene and one brother, Ralph.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother.

Serving as pallbearers were Donald Branstiter, Robert Branstiter, Nyle Brandt, Roland Berrett, Earl Richardson and Fritz Weiss. Rinka Funeral Home handled arrangements.
