Weyer, Michael (1916 - 1983)
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 7, 1983, at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, for Michael (Mike) Weyer, 66, of
Route 2, Loyal, Clark County.
Mr. Weyer died at 6:15 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 1983, at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Rev. James Logan officiated at the service and burial was in the
parish cemetery.
Serving as lectors were Pam Lindner and Sheila Weyer. Gift bearers
were Sally Lindner, Roseann Lindner, Penny Lindner and Annette
Weyer Mass servers were Duane Weyer, Jeff Volovsek and Gary
Lindner.
Pallbearers were Perry Lindner, Daniel Lindner, Scott Lindner,
Dennis Weyer, Joe Weyer and Al Weyer. Honorary pallbearers were
George Zuehlke, Sr., Holgar Lindgren, Verland Dux, Alfred Meyer,
Norbert Friske, Harlan Brux, William Butterbrodt and Alex Loos.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
Michael Weyer was born on Dec. 30, 1916, in the Town of Loyal to
John and Helen (nee Redig) Weyer. He was educated at St. Anthony's
School.
On June 18, 1940, he was married to Mary Walter at Loyal. After
their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Loyal. For the past two
years, he has been semi-retired.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Our Lady of
Fatima Council Holy Name Society, and was involved with the
Christine Center for Meditation at Willard.
He is survived by his wife, Mary six sons, John of Greenwood,
Lawrence (Hap) of Loyal, Thomas of Greenwood, Peter, Paul and Mark,
all of Loyal six daughters, Mrs. LaVerne (Joan) Lindner of Loyal,
Mrs. Arthur (Shirley) Lindner of Loyal, Mrs. David (Mary Ellen)
Volovsek of Greenwood, Mrs. Michael (Rosemary) Volovsek of
Marshfield, Mrs. Gary (Patricia) Rhinehart of Anchorage, Alaska and
Mrs. Jeffrey (Christine) Parker of Loyal four brothers, Andrew of
Phoenix, Ariz., Ale of Seattle, Wash., Richard of Tripoli and
Robert of Loyal three sisters, Mrs. Greg (Coletta) Tasse of
Marshfield Mrs. Carl (Ann) Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz. And Mrs.
Donald (Rosa) Bord of Wis. Rapids and 22 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents one brother, George and one
sister, Marie.
