Catlin, Vivian (1901 - 1983)
Mrs. Haskel (Vivian) Catlin, 82, of 210 S. Main St., Loyal, Clark
County, died at the Marshfield Convalescent Center at 7:10 a.m.,
Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1983.
Funeral services for Mrs. Catlin were at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5,
1983, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Officiating was Rev. C. Arlene
Denzer.
Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery, with Dennis Engevold, Richard
Engevold, James Engevold, Tom Guzman, Jack Guzman and Joe Bruckert
serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of
arrangements.
Vivian Bassett was born to Byron and Carrie (nee Gardner) Bassett
in the Loyal area on Sept. 17, 1901. She attended Heintown Grade
School and Loyal High School.
On Feb. 12, 1919, she and Haskell (Bub) Catlin were married at
Marshfield. She lived all her life in the Loyal area.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Loyal Senior
Citizens and Nine of Hearts Card Club.
Survivors include two sons, Clark of Mountain Ranch, Cal. And
Franklin of Marysville, Mich. three daughters, Mrs. Marvin
(Eleanore) Engevold of Loyal, Mrs. Melva Guzman of Loyal and Mrs.
Gwendolyn Bruckert of Loyal 20 grandchildren and 21
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband her parents two sisters
and one brother.
