Franz, Doris H. (1904 - 1983)
Mrs. Albert (Doris H.) Franz, 79, of Route 3, Greenwood, Clark
County, died at 8:45 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, 1983, at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1983, at
Immanuel United church of Christ, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev.
Gary L. Clark of United Church of Christ, Neillsville. Interment
was in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood
handled arrangements.
Serving as pallbearers were Darrel, Gerald and Herbert Horn, Jerold
Richmond, Thomas Elmer and Ray Gardner.
Doris H. Haase was born in Chicago on July 13, 1904, to Herman and
Rose (nee Kessler) Haase. She moved to the Greenwood area at the
age of 11 and attended the Braun Settlement School in
Greenwood.
She And Albert Franz were married on July 6, 1927, at Greenwood.
After their marriage, they lived in Unity, where they operated a
cheese factory. They later moved to Greenwood and farmed in the
Town of Warner.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Salem
Ladies Aid.
Survivors include one son, Arthur of Medford two grandchildren one
sister, Mrs. Rose Horn of Greenwood.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, in 1972.
