Quelle, Roy (1903 - 1983)
Roy Quelle, 79, of Route 2, Greenwood, Clark County, died of an
apparent heart attack while driving his car on Wednesday, Nov. 30,
1983.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 1983, at Rinka
Funeral Home, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev. Norbert Miller. The
body was cremated.
Roy Quelle was born on Dec. 11, 1903, at West Burlington, Iowa. He
received his education at Burlington Schools.
He moved to the Thorp area in 1920 and farmed in the Thorp,
Greenwood and Owen areas, moving to Owen in 1977. He moved to the
Black River Apartments in Greenwood in Jan. 1983.
On Jan. 11, 1930, he and Mary Jacque were married at Thorp.
Surviving him are his wife, Mary one daughter,, Mrs. Otto (Pat)
Kind of Greenwood four sons, Gerald of Owen, Roy Jr. of Oronoco,
Minn., Alvin of Milwaukee 21 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers one sister one son, Lavern
and one great-grandson.
Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
