Voss, Elaine (1933 - 2002)
ABBOTSFORD - Elaine Voss, 68, Abbotsford, died Sunday, Feb. 17,
2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services for Elaine will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the
Maurina Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Everhard will officiate.
Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers will
be Gary Voss, Lanny "Scott" Voss, Rick Hardrath, Jerry Freeck,
Thomas Guldan and Jon Jensen. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael
Freeck.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home.
Elaine Evelyn Erickson was born June 19, 1933, in Unity, the
daughter of Hugo and Gertrude (nee Konkel) Erickson. She was a 1951
graduate of Abbotsford High School. On Nov. 22, 1955, Elaine and
Lannie Voss were united in marriage. They later divorced.
After marriage, Elaine farmed in the Abbotsford/Dorchester area.
She later was employed with Dairyland Realty in Abbotsford as a
secretary. From 1981 to 1999, Elaine cared for children in her
home. She enjoyed embroidering and cooking from her library of cook
books, and loving the children in her care.
Elaine will be dearly missed by her family including her daughter,
Debbie (Rick) Hardrath of Abbotsford two sons, Gary Voss of
Abbotsford and Lanny "Scott" (Sherry Mattmiller) Voss of Antigo
five grandchildren, Casey Voss, Nikki Voss, Bradley Voss, Renee
Voss and Randy Voss her sister, Patricia (Jerry) Freeck of
Marshfield a niece, nephew and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
