Krultz, Selvian (18 DEC 1914 - 19 DEC
2001)
Selvian A. Krultz, 87, Greenwood, died on
Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. A
memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at
Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. The Rev. Michael Mertens
officiated.
Selvian Anton Krultz was born on Dec. 18, 1914, in Mulberry (Breezy
Hill), Kan., to Mike and Antonia (nee Prosence) Krultz. In 1920,
his family moved to Willard and began farming. He was educated at
North Mound School. After his schooling, he worked on the family
farm and began working for Plautz Brothers making concrete
culverts. He moved to Chicago in 1938 and worked for General Spring
and Bumper as a polisher and buffer. He married Victoria Bukovec on
Dec. 30, 1939, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chicago. They
lived in Chicago until April 1943, when they moved to a farm
northwest of Greenwood and began farming. In 1958, while he was
farming, he began selling and repairing Badger barn cleaners. Soon
after, he started Krultz Construction, specializing in concrete
work. He retired in 1979, and his son, Dave, took over the farm. In
1983, he moved off the farm to a new home nearby, where he resided
until the time of his death. He enjoyed hunting, working, reading,
and spending time with his family. He was a member of S.N.P.J.
Lodge 198.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki, Greenwood five daughters,
Dorothy (John) Miller, Sun Lakes, Ariz., Donna (Jim) Reineke, New
Berlin, Barbara (Steve) Koschak, Loyal, Bonnie (Tom) Brieton,
Junction City, and Jana (Gary) Greenwald, Marshfield four sons, M.
Edward (Barbara) Krultz, Greenwood, Ralph (Judy) Krultz, Greenwood,
David (Debbie) Krultz, Greenwood, and Gary Krultz, Marshfield 15
grandchildren six great-grandchildren one brother, Mike Jr. (Rose)
Krultz, Neillsville one sister, Frieda Klancher, Willard one
brother-in-law, Ludwig Hribar, Neillsville, and one sister-inlaw,
Arlene Krultz, Greenwood.
Preceding him in death were his parents one sister, Elma Hribar and
one brother, Walter Krultz.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with
arrangements.
