Remzgar, Anton (6 JUN 1864 - 29 JAN 1950)
Funeral services for Anton Remzgar, 85, who lived 4 1/2 miles
southwest of here, will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church
in Willard at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 1950.
He died Sunday evening, January 29, 1950, at the home of his
son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gosar. The body will
lie in state at his home until time of the services at which the
Rev. Odilo Hajnsek will officiate.
Mr. Remzgar was born in Jugoslavia June 6, 1864. He received his
education there and in 1892 he was married to Mrs. Anna Rupnik.
In 1900 he and his wife came to the United States where they made
their home in Waukegan, Ill., until he moved to his present home in
1928.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Gosar, Greenwood and
Mrs. Antonio (Elizabeth) Fender, Chicago.
Surviving stepchildren include Mrs. Frances Janse and Mrs. Mary
Remzgar, Waukegan, Ill Roy Pivek, Racine and Mrs. Ivana Mausert and
Thomas Rupnik, Jugoslavia.
His wife and a daughter, Josephine, and a brother preceded him in
death.
Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ludwig Peroshek, Stanley Volovsek, Cyril Rakovic,
John Brezic, Anton Trunkel Sr., and Mike Artac.
Music was provided by the Holy Family Church choir.
Attending from out of town were Mrs. Antonio Fender, Miss Julia
Gosar, and John Kuznacic, Chicago Sister M. Antonia, Stevens Point
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pivek, Racine Mr. and Mrs. Leo Remzgar, Mrs. John
Koncan Sr. and Mrs. Paul Dolence, Waukegan, Ill.
