Bruger, William (9 MAR 1961 - 20 FEB 2002)

CURTISS, Clark County - William B. Bruger, 40, of Curtiss, died on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident north of Curtiss in Clark County.

Funeral services for William will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. Rev. James Babler will officiate.

Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford.

William Brian Bruger was born March 9, 1961, in Oconto, the son of Edward and Clara (nee Larson) Bruger. He was a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and received a wrestling scholarship for diesel mechanics attending Dodge City Community College in Kansas.

William, affectionately known as Willie, was united in marriage to Tammy Olson on March 27, 1992, in Medford. They farmed in the town of Maplehurst until 1994. After farming he worked for Owen Manufacturing and at the time of his death was employed with Heartland Co-Op in Greenwood.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and served in the Medford National Guard from 1979 to 1985. An outdoorsman, Willie also was a member of the Coon Hound Hunting Club in Greenwood.

William will be dearly missed by his family and many friends: wife, Tammy Bruger of Curtiss parents, Edward and Clara Bruger of Curtiss his son, Warren Brian Bruger, and two daughters, Gail Lynn Bruger and Heather Mae Bruger, all at home two sisters, Patricia "Patty" (Marv) Leitzke of LaCrescent, Minn., and Rachel (Tony) Yaron of Mosinee six brothers, Al (Cathy) Bruger of Midland, Mich., Edward (Marilyn) Bruger of Spencer, Steve (Kathy) Bruger of West Bend, Paul (Judy) Bruger of Blanchardville, and Tom Bruger and Bob Bruger, both of Curtiss. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Rita Olson of Medford two brothers-in-law, Scott (Lisa) Olson of Withee and Brian Olson of Milwaukee and by 18 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Warren Bruce Bruger in 1992 a sister, Debra Jo Bruger in 1957 and by His grandparents.
