Jansen, Ralph (6 JUL 1945 - 27 JAN 2002)


Ralph Jansen, 56, died on Sunday, Jan.27, 2002, at Milwaukee Veterans Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb 3,at the Marshfield Eagle 's Club.

Ralph Albert Jansen was born on July 6, 1945, in Atkinson, Neb. He moved to Neillsville with his family when he was 7 years old. After graduating from Neillsville High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served for four years, including 18 months in Vietnam as a heavy equipment operator. After returning from the military, he married Charrolette Carstensen and started working for Herman Hediger Trucking. He then worked for Schneider Trans-port, and in 1982, he purchased his own semi-truck business as owner-operator. He later worked for Lynn Dairy and Trierweiler Construction.

Survivors include his wife, Charrolette one son, Christopher one daughter, Virginia three grandchildren, Samantha, Logan and Xander his mother, Loretta two sisters, Judy Jansen and Dolores Jansen and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were one son, Allen his father, Fred and an infant sister, Catherine Ann. His brother, Robert (Mary Weller)Jansen, died four days after his death.
