Montgomery Irving H. (26 DEC 1922 - 9 FEB 2002)
Irving H.Montgomery, 79, Neillsville,died on
Saturday, Feb.9, 2002, at his home. Visitation will be held from
4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb.14, at Rembs-Kundinger Funeral Home,
Marshfield, and on Friday, Feb.15,for one hour prior to a 10:30
a.m. funeral service at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles D.
Stoetzel will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery,
Marshfield.
Irving Howard Montgomery was born on Dec.26, 1922, in the town of
Pine Valley, to Ralph and Edna (nee Schmidt) Montgomery. He
attended Neillsville public schools. He married Lucille M. Sersch
on July 13, 1954,at St. John 's Catholic Church, Marshfield. He
worked for Wisconsin Gas Company from 1959 until his retirement in
1985.
Survivors include six children, Charmain (David) Fox, Wasilla,
Alaska, Charles Montgomery, Winnebago, Sandra DeLaCruz,
Neillsville, Cynthia (Donald) Swartz, Bloomer, Jay Montgomery,
Neillsville, and Karen (Adrian) Alleshaski, Marshfield eight
grandchildren, Cassandra Fox, Luis DeLaCruz, Elizabeth, Alison,
Christopher and Benjamin Alleshaski, and Kayla, Matthew and Lucille
Swartz one brother, Robert (Irma) Montgomery, New Berlin one
sister, Hazel (Leon) Kozik, Chili and two half-sisters, Nell
Burgeson, Lebanon, Tenn., and Frances Parrett, Marshall, Minn.
Preceding him in death were his parents his wife, Lucille, on April
30, 1994 and two brothers, Harold and Arnold.
Rembs-Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family
with arrangements.
