Hintz, Mary (6 APR 1881 - SEP 1962)
Hintz Service is Held Friday
Mrs. George Hintz, 81, Greenwood, died of complications at 10:00
p.m. Monday
in Neillsville, where she had been a patient for a week.
Mrs. Hintz, the former Mary Clair, was born April 6, 1881, at Kent,
Ill. She was married there September 22, 1904 to George Hintz, who
died November
13, 1957.
Five years after their marriage, the couple moved onto a farm
one-half mile west of Willard, where they resided until their
retirement from farming in 1956. At that time they moved into the
city of Greenwood. Mrs. Hintz had resided at the Neillsville
Nursing Home since February, 1958.
Surviving are four sons, Ralph and Boyd of Milwaukee, Roland of
Willard, and George, serving with the army in Guam three daughters,
Mrs. Arthur (Kathryn) Fravert of Loyal, Mrs. Orlin (Bernice)
Schwarze of Greenwood, and Mrs. Herbert (Helen) Kippenhan of Wausau
23 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Galen
Clair, of Lena, Ill.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Hill Funeral
home. The Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor of the Immanuel United Church
officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery.
Pallbearers were three sons, Ralph, Boyd, and Roland Hintz, and
three
grandsons, Larry and Harold Hintz and Lynn Schwarze.
