Schumacher, LuVerne (23 MAR 1913 - 14 MAY
1985)
Mrs. Vernon (LuVerne) Schumacher, 72, Route 1, Granton, Clark
County, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1985 at Memorial Home,
Neillsville. Funeral services were held Friday, May 17, at 1:30
p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. Burial was in the Windfall
Cemetery. Rev. E. T. Keller officiated.
She was born March 23, 1913 in Fairchild to Kuno and Bertha (nee
Girth) Lange. She received her education in Augusta. On Oct. 11,
1931, she married Foster Vernon Schumacher. They lived at various
places until 1950, when they moved to Granton. She was a cook at
the Granton School for many yeas.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Leonard, Battle Creek,
Mich., Edwin, Green Bay, Lawrence, Granton one daughter, Valaria
Laurin, Two Rivers one brother, David Lange, West Bend one sister,
Mrs. Charles Martin, Milwaukee, 11 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one brother and her parents.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
