Klinke, Frank (10 JUL 1923 - 27 JUL 1985)
Frank Klinke, 62, Route 1, Greenwood, Town of Eaton, Clark County,
died Saturday afternoon at 2:08, July 27, 1985 at St. Joseph's
Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 1985 at
St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev.
Robert Streveler officiated. Pallbearers were Ed Bogdonovich,
Francis Kohlnhofer, Francis Brey, Claire Nigon, William Ehlers and
Donald Lindner.
He was born July 10, 1923 in Greenwood to Edward and Olive (nee
Keller) Klinke.
He received his education at Greenwood High School, graduating in
1941. On April 28, 1951 he married Hedwig Francel in Willard. He
farmed in the town of Warner and Eaton until 1979, and still
continue living on the farm.
He was a World War II veteran. He entered Dec. 8, 1941 and was
discharged in 1945. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church,
Holy Name Society, VFW and the Neillsville and Greenwood American
Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Hedwig his mother, Mrs. Olive Klinke,
Greenwood five daughters, Mrs. Gayle (Geraldine) Schoengarth,
Neillsville, Mrs. Larry (Susan) Pakiz, Greenwood, Miss Janet
Klinke, Minneapolis, Mrs. Gary (Diane) Olson, Greenwood, Mrs. David
(Judith) Hinker, Greenwood, two brothers, Alvin of Greenwood and
Ralph of Spring Grove, Ill. seven sisters, Mrs. Charles (Lorraine)
Adams, Eaton, Ohio, Mrs. Howard (Lucille) Bantz, Lake Geneva, Mrs.
Gene (Jean) Wolstenholme, South Hampton, Pa., Mrs. Alberta Klinke,
Greenwood, Mrs. James (Karen) Barrett Marblehead, Mass, Mrs. Joseph
(Rita) Platt, North Whales, Pa., Mrs. Ronald (Kay) O'Brien,
Marshfield, and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one
sister in infancy and his father.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Full military
rites were performed by the Greenwood American Legion.
