Nelson, Vernell (25 AUG 1922 - 9 AUG
1985)
Mrs. Vernell Nelson, 62, Route 2, Loyal, Town of Loyal, Clark
County, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 1985 at her home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at Trinity
Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. Joseph
R. Kraly officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Erlin Roehl,
Randy Potter, James Rudoll, Joseph Zupanc, Keith Markham and
Douglas Roehl.
She was born Aug. 25, 1922 in Black River Falls to Vernon and Edna
(nee Daton) Finch. She received her education in Black River Falls
schools. On Oct. 25, 1944 she married Walter Nelson. After their
marriage they farmed in Black River Falls for two years and then
moved to the town of Loyal, where she farmed all her life.
Surviving are her husband, Walter her mother, Mrs. Edna Finch,
Chetek eight sons, David, Ronald, John, Dennis, of Loyal, Randy of
Stanford, Tex., Jackie of Greenwood and Dallas and Ricky of Loyal
five daughters, Mrs. Erlin (Vonnie) Roehl, Loyal, Mrs. Curt (Carol)
Richter, Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph (Beverly) Zupanc, Loyal, Mrs. James
(Rosemary) Rudoll, Neillsville, and Mrs. Randall (Nila) Potter,
Loyal two brothers, Morris Finch, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Wesley
Finch, Friendship five sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Radcliff,
Mauston, Mrs. Harold (Norma) Peterson, Milwaukee, Mrs. Dale
(Esther) Smith, Chetek, Mrs. Vernon (Marliss) Henninger, Minocqua,
Mrs. Jean Sutter, Mauston and 29 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, one sister, one son, one
daughter in infancy and four granddaughters.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
