Luzovec, John L. (13 NOV 1904 - 17 AUG
1985)
John L. Luzovec, age 80, born in Ely, Minn. Nov. 13, 1904, died
Aug. 17, 1985 at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Harlow Luxovec, who he married in
Chicago in 1937 two children Jean Jensen Struss of Versailles, Ky.
And Buddy (Jay) Harlow of Milwaukee one sister, Mary Luzovec Novak
five grandchildren seven great-grandchildren, several nieces,
nephews and many friends.
John moved to Willard from Minnesota in 1913. He attended North
Mound School in Willard, Clark County. In 1922 he moved to Chicago,
where he was a streetcar motorman for 16 years. In 1944 he returned
to Greenwood where he and John Zagozen ran the L Z Garage until
1948. At that time he sold his share and moved to Milwaukee. He
worked for American Motors there until his retirement in 1967. At
that time he moved back to Willard, which has been his home
since.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Luzovec, his mother
Frances (nee Oven) Luzovec, two brothers, Joe and Frank Luzovec of
Willard two sisters, Angeline Luzovec Zagozen of Greenwood and
Sophie Luzovec Rodak of Chicago, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1985 at
Rinka Funeral Home in Greenwood. Father Jim Lesczynski of Holy
Family Church in Willard officiated.
