Simonson, Clarence June (10 SEP 1916 - 28 AUG
1985)
Clarence June Simonson, Spencer, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1985 at
1:45 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Services were held at Spencer United Methodist Church on Friday,
Aug. 30, 1985 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Rev.
Kenneth Barnes officiated. Pallbearers were Bill, Paul and Terry
Rueth, Joe and Ray Weyer, and Pat Englebretson. Honorary
pallbearers were Ed Timmler, Arnold Mueller, Fred Sommers, Gerald
Lucht, Ralph Thomas, Herman Greve and Stanley Stevens.
He was born Sept. 10, 1916 in Solon Springs, Wis. to Simon G. and
Birchie (nee Hackler) Simonson. He received his education in
Greenville, Iowa.
On Feb. 18, 1942 at Dakota City, Neb. He married Betty Jean
Remillard. They farmed at Rt. 2 Loyal, Clark County.
He was Cub Scout Leader in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and a volunteer fire
fighter there also.
He is survived by his wife two sons, Bruce Allen Simonson, Iola,
and Richard Keith Simonson, Rt. 2, Loyal one brother, Emmett
Simonson, Kalispell, Mont. and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one
granddaughter.
Rux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
